Qatar Airways cardholders gain bonus Avios on rent payments via Bilt
U.S. holders of certain Qatar Airways credit cards can now earn 3 Avios per dollar on rent payments processed through Bilt, up to $50,000 annually. This partnership allows cardholders to accumulate airline miles on a typically non-rewardable expense. The offer is available to eligible cardholders only.
The new earning rate applies specifically to the Qatar Airways Privilege Club Visa Signature and Visa Infinite cards. Members can accrue up to 150,000 Avios annually, given the $50,000 yearly cap on rent transactions. This feature complements the existing ability to transfer Bilt Points directly to the Qatar Airways program.
This offer parallels existing Bilt partnerships with United and Alaska, though those earn lower or equal rates. Although Bilt did not confirm whether the standard 3% transaction fee applies, the author anticipates it will, based on precedent. At TPG's valuation of 1.4 cents per Avios, the 4.2% return outweighs that potential fee, but individual redemption strategies remain the deciding factor.
