Zipalertinib succeeds in Phase 3 trial for EGFR-mutant lung cancer, challenging Rybrevant

Taiho Oncology and Cullinan Therapeutics announced that their oral EGFR inhibitor zipalertinib met the primary endpoint in a registrational Phase 3 trial for first-line treatment of a genetically defined subtype of non-small cell lung cancer. The positive results position the drug as a potential competitor to Johnson & Johnson's Rybrevant. The companies intend to pursue regulatory approval based on the trial data.
