Prosecutors Open Tupac Murder Trial with Revenge Motive

In opening statements, prosecutors told a Las Vegas jury that Duane "Keffe D" Davis orchestrated the 1996 drive-by shooting that killed Tupac Shakur as retaliation for an earlier fight involving his nephew. They cited Davis's own admissions in a 2008 interview and a 2019 memoir, where he said he provided the gun and was in the front seat. The trial is expected to last at least a month.
