Fool Night marks a notable first-time collaboration between animation studios Sunrise and SHAFT, adapting Kasumi Yasuda’s manga about humans transforming into oxygen-producing plants. The production crew shared featurette comments about their creative approach to the series’ dark world. Meanwhile, Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 is described as a standalone 10-episode story set in the Cyberpunk 2077 universe, centering on a washed-up edgerunner and a killer netrunner.
