Multi-State Outbreak of Salmonella and E. coli Traced to Alfalfa Sprouts

U.S. health officials report 55 cases of food poisoning across 15 states linked to alfalfa sprouts, with both Salmonella and E. coli infections. The CDC says 26 of 34 interviewed patients reported eating the sprouts, and the FDA has linked the cases to a Minnesota grower, Everything Sprouts. The company has not yet issued a recall, though it received a warning letter from the FDA last year.
