Severe tornado hits French village, injuring dozens and damaging hundreds of homes

A tornado struck the village of Pomas in southwestern France on Monday, injuring 41 people and damaging roughly 300 homes, with some roofs torn off. Authorities deployed over 120 emergency workers, and 15 of the injured were hospitalized, including a pregnant woman whose house collapsed. The storm also caused power outages, transport disruptions, and forced the cancellation of a Vuelta a España cycling stage in the Aude department.
