Medicare's Weight-Loss Drug Discount Excludes Patients With Target Conditions

The new Medicare GLP-1 Bridge program offers eligible beneficiaries popular weight-loss drugs for as little as $50 a month. However, patients who have the very medical conditions these drugs are approved to treat may not qualify for the discount. This creates a barrier for some of the sickest individuals who could benefit most from the medications.
