Congo peace talks resume as government and M23 rebels agree on roadmap

After months of deadlock, the Democratic Republic of Congo's government and the Rwanda-backed M23 rebels have agreed to a roadmap for renewed peace negotiations. The rebels continue to control large areas in the east of the country. The breakthrough could pave the way for a ceasefire and further talks.
