WhatsApp strengthens two-step verification with alphanumeric passwords

WhatsApp now lets users set an eight-character password with at least one letter and number for two-step verification, replacing the old six-digit PIN. The app also supports multiple passkeys per account across devices. Additionally, incoming calls from unknown numbers will show country and shared group chat info to help identify spam.
