NFC North Clubs Show Off New Rivalry Uniforms
The Chicago Bears, Detroit Lions, Green Bay Packers, and Minnesota Vikings have unveiled their 'Rivalries' uniforms as part of the Nike x NFL program. The Packers will wear theirs first in Week 5 against the Bears, followed by the Lions, Vikings, and Bears in subsequent weeks. These alternate jerseys will be part of each team's rotation for the next three years.
The four NFC North clubs are staggering their uniform debuts across the 2026 schedule, with Green Bay opening the showcase in Week 5 against Chicago. Detroit follows in Week 8 versus Minnesota, the Vikings counter in Week 15, and the Bears close the rotation in Week 16 against the Packers. Each design joins the team's alternate jersey pool for a three-year cycle.
The reveal coincides with the AFC South's own Rivalries launch, expanding the Nike x NFL program to eight teams this season. Clubs from last year's debut will also wear their versions again in 2026, with additional franchises expected to join the initiative in 2027 and 2028.
These uniform launches may deepen fan engagement by creating new merchandise demand and game-day traditions around divisional matchups. The staggered reveals could boost viewership for specific rivalry games, as collectors and casual fans alike tune in to see the new designs. However, the three-year commitment may also test fan patience if designs underwhelm, potentially shifting attention from on-field performance to commercial spectacle.
