SEC Bans Pro-League Rostered Players From College Teams

The Southeastern Conference announced a new policy on Tuesday that forbids member schools from adding athletes who have declared for NFL, NBA, or WNBA drafts without withdrawing on time, signed professional contracts, or ever been on a roster in those leagues. The rule comes after LSU tight end Dae'Quan Wright attempted to join the football team despite having signed with NFL clubs earlier in the offseason. The conference has not yet disclosed specific penalties for violations.
