Alaska Senate race to feature two candidates named Dan Sullivan

Alaska election officials confirmed that Republican incumbent Dan S Sullivan will be joined on the November ballot by a challenger with a nearly identical name, Dan J Sullivan, a retired teacher. The challenger was initially disqualified but reinstated by the state supreme court. The incumbent has accused the challenger of running to confuse voters and split the Republican vote.
