Most Valuable Promotions marks five years with all-female headline card
Most Valuable Promotions, founded by Jake Paul, celebrates its fifth anniversary with a card featuring five women's bouts. Mikaela Mayer and Chantelle Cameron will unify light-middleweight titles, while Caroline Dubois defends her lightweight belts. The promotion has become a major player in women's boxing, according to Dubois.
MVP's first card in August 2021 paired Jake Paul with MMA veteran Tyron Woodley, a matchup that drew criticism from boxing traditionalists. The promotion later staged a Paul–Mike Tyson event that further cemented its reputation among purists as a spectacle-driven outfit. Its anniversary show, however, marks a notable pivot toward competitive women's boxing.
The card unifies light-middleweight titles between Mikaela Mayer and Chantelle Cameron, with Caroline Dubois defending her lightweight belts in the chief support. Cameron, who previously fought under Matchroom and Queensberry, credits MVP for securing her world-title opportunities quickly. Dubois has also adopted a more outspoken persona since joining, moving from a small Sheffield venue to major stages in Miami and London.
This shift could reshape how women's boxing is promoted and perceived. If MVP continues prioritising female headliners, other promoters may follow suit, potentially expanding opportunities for women fighters and raising audience expectations for gender-balanced cards. Fans gain more competitive matchups, while athletes may benefit from stronger negotiating positions. The long-term effect could normalise women's bouts as mainstream attractions rather than undercards.
