UN Warns of Severe Malnutrition Crisis Among Afghan Children

The United Nations warned Tuesday that one million children in Afghanistan are facing life-threatening malnutrition. UNICEF reported that 3.7 million children across the country suffer from wasting, a form of acute malnutrition. Afghanistan has experienced repeated hunger emergencies over decades of civil war and other crises.
