French wildlife park sees first natural Nile crocodile hatching amid record heat

Ten Nile crocodile eggs hatched without incubator assistance at La Ferme aux Crocodiles in southern France, a first for the reserve. The director attributed the natural incubation to prolonged heatwaves that kept sand temperatures suitable for embryo development. The hatchlings are healthy but will be monitored in a nursery before public display.
