DAZN Acquires EverPass to Dominate U.S. Sports Venue Streaming
DAZN has purchased EverPass Media, the company that manages commercial rights for major sports events like NFL Sunday Ticket and content from Peacock, Netflix, Paramount, and Apple. The acquisition gives DAZN a large-scale foothold in the U.S. market for bars, hotels, and other venues. NFL, TKO, and RedBird will become minority shareholders in the combined entity, with financial terms undisclosed.
EverPass Media was established roughly two years ago through a partnership between the NFL’s 32 Equity investment arm and RedBird Capital Partners, with TKO later joining as an investor. The company manages commercial distribution rights for major sports programming, including NFL Sunday Ticket and live events from streaming platforms such as Peacock, Netflix, Paramount, and Apple, selling and delivering those broadcasts to bars, hotels, and similar venues.
DAZN, a global sports streaming service known primarily for boxing in the U.S., has recently expanded its commercial footprint by acquiring local streaming rights for the New York Knicks and Yankees. This acquisition provides DAZN with immediate scale in the venue marketplace. Following the deal, the NFL, TKO, and RedBird will hold minority stakes in the combined entity, though financial terms were not disclosed.
This acquisition could reshape how bars, hotels, and other public venues access premium sports content, potentially consolidating distribution under a single global platform. For consumers, it may influence where and how they gather to watch live events, as venue offerings could shift toward DAZN's broader catalog. Smaller venues might face changing pricing or package structures, while sports leagues gain a more unified commercial partner. The deal also signals continued consolidation in sports streaming, which could affect competition and viewer choice over time.
