Rupert Grint to Star as Adult Ron Weasley in Broadway's 'Cursed Child' Beginning February

Rupert Grint, who played Ron Weasley in the Harry Potter films, will reprise the role on Broadway in 'Harry Potter and the Cursed Child' starting Feb. 2, 2027, for a 17-week run. He becomes the second film franchise actor to join the stage production, following Tom Felton's portrayal of Draco Malfoy. Grint said stepping back into the character now that both he and Ron are fathers feels both familiar and new.
