Trump administration seeks Supreme Court review of border asylum ban

The Justice Department has asked the Supreme Court to overturn lower court rulings that blocked President Trump's proclamation suspending asylum claims at the U.S.-Mexico border. Solicitor General D. John Sauer argued that the D.C. Circuit's decision improperly interferes with presidential authority. The high court will consider the petition when its new term begins in October.
