GTA 6 Prologue Gameplay Leaks Online Shortly After Rockstar's Spoiler Warning
Extended footage of GTA 6's prologue featuring Lucia has been leaked, revealing key story details. This comes just hours after Rockstar warned that spoilers could impact the intended experience. The leaker claims access to a recent build and has requested cryptocurrency support.
The leaked footage, running over four minutes, centers on Lucia and marks the first extended look at the game's narrative opening. It follows a week of more than a dozen shorter clips that have already exposed portions of the game world. Rockstar responded earlier the same day, calling the leaks "heartbreaking" for the team while reaffirming the November 19 release date and stating the game is "nearly" finished.
The leaker's watermark claims the build is recent and suggests the game may not be complete enough for its launch window, though these assertions remain unverified. The individual has again requested cryptocurrency payments, specifically the $Cyberleek token, implying future footage may depend on trading activity. Bloomberg reports Rockstar and Take-Two are actively investigating the source, while former Rockstar technical director Obbe Vermeij has publicly downplayed the severity, comparing it to past incidents like the Hot Coffee controversy.
This leak could reshape how players experience one of the industry's most anticipated releases, potentially diminishing the narrative impact Rockstar carefully designed. Fans seeking a spoiler-free experience may now need to navigate social media cautiously for weeks. The incident also highlights ongoing security vulnerabilities in major game development pipelines, which could affect industry trust and prompt tighter internal controls across studios.
