Kim's Pinch-Hit Heroics Lift Braves Over Dodgers in Ninth

Ha-Seong Kim, who had not recorded a hit since June 3 and last batted on Aug. 15, delivered a walk-off single in the bottom of the ninth inning to give Atlanta a 6-5 victory over Los Angeles. Kim, who underwent finger surgery before spring training and later returned from another injured-list stint, was chosen by manager Walt Weiss to bat for the pitcher against a lefty. Kim credited his persistent work in the batting cage and expressed gratitude for the support of his teammates during a difficult season.
