Anthropic launches Model Hardware Standard to connect AI with real-world equipment

Anthropic has introduced a new framework called the Model Hardware Standard (MHS) that allows any large language model to control physical equipment, from microscopes to robotic arms. The company says the standard can cut integration time from weeks to minutes and is designed to enable round-the-clock autonomous workflows in science and manufacturing. MHS is model-agnostic and builds on Anthropic's earlier Model Context Protocol.
