Schwarber Closing In on Ruth's Home Run Mark With Phillies

Kyle Schwarber hit his 40th home run of the season, leading Major League Baseball, and has now reached that mark in four of the last five years. Since joining the Phillies in 2022, he has amassed 227 home runs, putting him just nine shy of Babe Ruth's record for most homers in a player's first five seasons with a team. Ruth set that mark with the Yankees from 1920-1924, and Schwarber has a chance to surpass it.
