Swimmer's 48.5K Manhattan Circumnavigation Raises Funds for Children with Cancer

Mexican swimmer Victoria de Yturbe, 23, is attempting the 20 Bridges Swim around Manhattan, a roughly 48.5-kilometer open-water course. Her effort supports the Dona Brazadas campaign, which has already funded two bone marrow transplants for pediatric cancer patients. She has trained for over a year, including cold-water adaptation, for the 8-9 hour challenge.
