Crystal Palace have demolished six houses near Selhurst Park as part of the Main Stand redevelopment. The demolition of six homes in Wooderson Close marks the first major physical milestone in a project approved in principle eight years ago. Those displaced residents were relocated to comparable properties elsewhere in Croydon, with compensation arranged. The cleared site now offers an unobstructed view toward the stadium for the first time since those houses were constructed.
Inside the ground, the club has removed several long-standing hospitality areas, including Speroni's restaurant and the boardroom, while expanding the Wright & Bright bar and adding a new concourse called the Eagle's Nest. The temporary hospitality structure beside the nearby Sainsbury's will preserve corporate revenue during construction. Palace also secured permission to phase their Community Infrastructure Levy payments, easing the financial burden of the build.
