Silver Palace Showcases New Trailer, PS5 Reveal, and Hands-On Demo at gamescom

Elementa debuted a new trailer for the open-world action RPG Silver Palace at gamescom's Opening Night Live, confirming a PlayStation 5 release alongside PC and mobile. The trailer introduced the Detective protagonist, the city of Silvernia, and a new multiplayer mode called House of Greed. IGN's hands-on demo featured combat with light, ranged, and ultimate attacks, plus boss battles and exploration on a silverwork horse.
The gamescom presentation confirmed Silver Palace will launch on PlayStation 5 in addition to its previously announced PC and mobile versions, a move that broadens its potential audience significantly. Over ten million global pre-registrations preceded the event, indicating substantial anticipation. The hands-on demo showcased a combat system built around light, ranged, and ultimate attacks, with parry and dodge mechanics, alongside exploration on a silverwork horse. A second boss, a twisted Cinderella wielding her pumpkin carriage as a weapon, highlighted the game's creative enemy design. The booth itself featured live performances, cosplayers, influencer sessions, and a physical sculpture of the carriage, while on-site PCs running RTX 5080 graphics cards demonstrated support for DLSS 4.5 and ray tracing.
This reveal could significantly shape expectations for cross-platform action RPGs, as the simultaneous PC, mobile, and PS5 release may set a new standard for accessibility. The game's horror-tinged trailer and multiplayer mode could attract both narrative-focused players and competitive audiences, potentially expanding the genre's reach. However, the ambitious scope may also raise concerns about performance consistency across very different hardware platforms, which could influence player trust and long-term engagement.
