Pentagon sued by three Stars and Stripes staffers over alleged retaliation

Three employees of the military newspaper Stars and Stripes have filed a federal lawsuit against the Pentagon, alleging their dismissals violated their First Amendment rights. The plaintiffs claim they were fired in retaliation for reporting on poor conditions aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln and for speaking out against potential censorship. The suit names the Defense Department and Secretary Pete Hegseth as defendants.
