GTA 6 Leaker Profits Nearly $250K From Solana Token Scheme Before Official Reveal

The anonymous leaker known as Cyberleek cashed out approximately $250,000 from a Solana-based memecoin on Thursday, shortly before Rockstar's official GTA VI reveal. The funds came from trading fees accrued as a liquidity provider, not from dumping a founder's stash. The token's value plummeted after the exit, and the leaker had burned reserve tokens earlier to build trust.
The scheme relied on a liquidity provider model rather than a direct token dump. Cyberleek earned a cut of every trade fee on the Solana pool, meaning the payout grew with each leak-driven trading spike. Burning 270 million reserve tokens, worth roughly $1.79 million at the time, helped convince traders the supply was safe, keeping volume and fees flowing.
After the exit, proceeds were split across four new wallets. At least 91 SOL went to KuCoin, an exchange with no U.S. presence following its 2025 guilty plea and $297 million settlement. Another portion moved through CCE.Cash, an anonymous swap service. Take-Two's DMCA subpoenas targeting Microsoft, Discord, and X seek to unmask the leaker by September 4.
This incident could further erode trust in both memecoin markets and leak culture. Retail traders who bought into the token may face significant losses, while the gaming community may grow more skeptical of anonymous leakers' motives. The use of offshore exchanges may highlight how difficult legal recourse is, potentially emboldening similar schemes. However, it could also prompt platforms and regulators to scrutinize anonymous token launches more closely, and it may make fans more cautious about engaging with leak-driven hype in the future.
