Forest and Palace strike fee deal for wing-back Munoz
Nottingham Forest have reached an agreement with Crystal Palace for Daniel Munoz, with the fee set at £22 million plus additional performance-based add-ons. The 30-year-old Colombia international has been cleared to undergo a medical and is expected to sign a three-year contract with an option for a fourth year. Munoz previously played under Forest head coach Oliver Glasner at Palace, where he excelled as a right-sided wing-back in a three-at-the-back system.
The move reunites Munoz with Glasner, the coach who helped him deliver his best form in English football. Forest have already added five players this summer, and Glasner has hinted that further business may follow before the deadline. Munoz arrives with two years left on the contract he signed in April 2025.
Munoz contributed five goals and four assists last season while helping Palace win the Conference League. Palace have already brought in Anan Khalaili as his replacement. Forest had also explored other wing-back options before settling on Munoz, who has made 109 appearances for the south London club since joining from Genk.
This transfer could strengthen Forest's squad depth as they push for European qualification, while Palace lose an experienced performer familiar with the manager's system.
