Wales prop Orrin targets first cap after emotional senior debut
Stella Orrin made her senior Wales debut against the Barbarians in June, an experience she described as the best day of her life. The 20-year-old prop, whose French mother and rugby-playing father inspired her, is now aiming for her first capped Test in the WXV Global Series this autumn.
Orrin, who also plays the cello, took up rugby at 13 to emulate her father, a social-level player in the Welsh valleys. She has progressed through Wales Under-18s and Under-21s, and is now in her second year training with the senior squad while studying at university in Bristol.
Her June appearance at Twickenham came as a replacement in Wales' win over the Barbarians. Wales open their WXV Global Series campaign against South Africa on 18 September, with further fixtures against the USA and Japan, before Lynn trims his extended training squad.
