Former Buffaloes Secure NFL Roster Spots

Several former Colorado Buffaloes made final 53-man NFL rosters after cutdown day. Wide receivers LaJohntay Wester (Ravens) and Jimmy Horn Jr. (Panthers) earned spots, along with cornerback Chidobe Awuzie (Ravens). Wester scored twice in preseason, while Horn returns for a second season with Carolina.

The Ravens will carry two former Buffaloes into the 2026 season. Wester secured his place among six Baltimore wideouts after a productive preseason that included two touchdown catches. Awuzie, a holdover from the Mike MacIntyre coaching era, adds veteran depth to the AFC North contender's secondary.
Carolina kept Horn for a second year after the sixth-round pick showed continued development in preseason action. He'll rejoin quarterback Bryce Young after recording 11 receptions for 108 yards across 13 games as a rookie. Jacksonville also retained two CU products — Hunter and undrafted edge rusher BJ Green — while the Rams kept linebacker Nate Landman on the same day they
