Rams Expected to Limit Aaron Donald's Workload in Return

Aaron Donald is ending his two-year retirement to rejoin the Los Angeles Rams, but the team plans to use him sparingly. According to a report, the 35-year-old defensive tackle is projected to play 30-40 snaps per game, a significant reduction from his prime workload. The Rams' deep defensive line allows them to manage his playing time carefully over the long season.

The Rams' defensive front features considerable depth, including edge rushers Myles Garrett, Byron Young, and Josaiah Stewart, with Poona Ford at nose tackle. Donald would join Kobie Turner and Braden Fiske at defensive end in the team's 3-4 base alignment, giving coaches flexibility to rotate personnel without losing production.

Donald's résumé includes three Defensive Player of the Year awards, ten Pro Bowl selections, and eight first-team All-Pro nods. Per Albert Breer's report, Donald declined suggestions to delay his return until October or November, preferring to experience the full season alongside his teammates despite the reduced snap count designed to preserve him across the long campaign.
