Mexican Rock Trio The Warning Set for NFL Halftime in Mexico City
The Warning will headline the halftime show at the NFL game between the Vikings and 49ers in Mexico City on Nov. 22. The band recently made history as the first Mexican and all-women group to top Mainstream Rock Airplay. The performance is part of the NFL's international series.
The Nov. 22 matchup at Estadio Banorte is one of nine international NFL games this season, with seven featuring halftime entertainment sponsored by American Express. The performance extends the league's global expansion strategy, which has already secured Ayra Starr for London, Ricky Martin for Rio de Janeiro, and the Jonas Brothers for Melbourne.
The Warning's appearance follows their historic Billboard achievement — topping Mainstream Rock Airplay with "Kerosene" as both the first Mexican band and first all-women group to do so. The track anchors their album "Everything's Falling," released Aug. 28. The halftime show will air live on Canal 5 in Mexico and ESPN.
