Juventus secure loan deal for Newcastle's Woltemade
Juventus have agreed a season-long loan for Newcastle United forward Nick Woltemade, with a £3.5m fee and no option to buy. The 24-year-old, who joined Newcastle from Stuttgart for £69m last year, will travel to Turin for a medical. The move comes after Juventus missed out on other targets like Joshua Zirkzee.
Woltemade's limited role under Matthias Jaissle, with just one start in the new manager's first three matches, made him available for a temporary exit. His assist in Saturday's win at Tottenham was not enough to secure a regular place in the starting lineup. Newcastle's pursuit of Matias Fernandez-Pardo, a move worth up to £55m, likely freed Woltemade for departure.
