Josh Groban's Benefit Concert to Honor Wynton Marsalis and Feature Joey Fatone
Josh Groban will host the third annual Find Your Light Benefit Concert on Oct. 19 at Jazz at Lincoln Center, honoring Wynton Marsalis and The Oliver Sacks Foundation. The event will feature performances by Groban, Marsalis, Stephen Colbert, and *NSYNC's Joey Fatone. The Find Your Light Foundation has given over $1.5 million to arts education organizations this year.
The Oct. 19 concert marks the third iteration of Groban's annual fundraiser, held in the Appel Room at Jazz at Lincoln Center. Proceeds support the Find Your Light Foundation, which has distributed more than $1.5 million this year across 257 nonprofit organizations in 40 states, reaching over 600,000 K-12 students. The evening will also include a gala VIP reception in the Ertegun Ballroom for sponsors and patrons.
Marsalis receives the Find Your Light Award, while The Oliver Sacks Foundation, represented by executive director Kate Edger, accepts the Arts for Healing Award. Ticket prices range from $125 to $500, with sales beginning Sept. 2 through the Jazz at Lincoln Center box office.
This benefit underscores how celebrity-driven philanthropy can channel public attention toward arts education funding, particularly as school budgets face ongoing pressure. The event's reach—600,000 students served—suggests measurable impact, though sustained support remains dependent on annual fundraising cycles. By pairing a classical-pop star with jazz and Broadway figures, the concert may broaden arts advocacy across diverse audiences, potentially inspiring similar cross-genre initiatives.
