Massachusetts Sen. Markey Defeats Moulton in Democratic Primary, Citing Progressive Mandate
Senator Edward J. Markey won the Massachusetts Democratic primary on Tuesday, defeating Representative Seth Moulton by a wide margin. Meanwhile, Lynch and Neal, both in their 70s, survived primary bids against younger opponents, bucking a national trend that had already unseated seven House Democrats this cycle. Markey, if reelected, has said he would serve only one more term, ending at age 86.
