Dollywood Expands with Tributes and Interactive Features to Celebrate Parton's Legacy
Dollywood Parks & Resorts is developing new attractions and experiences to honor founder Dolly Parton after her death at age 80. Plans include a character called the Dream Maker in Wildwood Grove, guest kiosks for sharing memories, and a new entrance to the existing Dolly Parton Experience. A separate walking tour, 'In Dolly's Footsteps,' will highlight locations from her youth in Sevierville.
The Dream Maker character will be stationed in Wildwood Grove, an area of the park, and is designed to carry forward Parton's emphasis on inspiration and kindness through storytelling and interactive engagement. Guest kiosks in the same area will collect personal tributes about Parton's influence on visitors' lives.
The Dolly Parton Experience exhibit, which already exists at the park, will gain a redesigned entrance as part of the tribute.
