Wisconsin Grieves After High School Quarterback's Tragic Passing

Adam Massman, a 17-year-old senior at Alma Center Lincoln High School, died on Aug. 22 after being injured in the Hornets' season-opening football victory. The multi-sport athlete was honored at funeral services over the weekend, and the Wisconsin Football Coaches Association requested a statewide moment of silence before last week's games. Two upcoming games were canceled as the school community continues to mourn his loss.

Massman's athletic résumé included honorable mention All-North Central-East 8 recognition after a season in which he accounted for 13 touchdowns through both passing and rushing. His basketball play earned academic all-state honors from the Wisconsin Basketball Coaches Association, and he also competed in baseball and track during his high school career.
