Lenovo unveiled the ThinkCentre X Ultra mini workstation ahead of IFA, featuring up to an AMD Ryzen AI Max+ Pro 495 processor with integrated Radeon 8065S graphics and up to 128GB of soldered LPDDR5x memory. The system includes a 55 TOPS NPU, Wi-Fi 7, and dual Thunderbolt 4 ports, a rarity on AMD platforms. It is slated for a November 2026 release with a starting price of $3,699, and up to four units can be clustered for larger AI workloads.
The ThinkCentre X Ultra measures just 7.2 inches square and two inches tall, making it only slightly larger than a Mac Mini. Its port selection is notably generous for an AMD-based system, including dual Thunderbolt 4 connections alongside DisplayPort 2.1, HDMI 2.1, 10Gb Ethernet, and multiple USB ports. Lenovo positions the machine for AI development work, bundling AMD's Ryzen AI Developer Center with preconfigured models and example workflows.
Buyers can choose between Linux and Windows configurations, and the system supports clustering up to four units to handle larger models or extended context windows. Storage options reach 8TB across two Gen5 M.2 drives. The November 2026 launch will place it in direct competition with Nvidia's RTX Spark systems arriving from OEM partners this fall.
