BYD's Latest Sealion 06 EV Spotted Testing in Canada

A BYD Sealion 06 with LiDAR and second-generation Blade Battery has been seen on Canadian roads, indicating the latest model rather than older exports. The vehicle supports MW-level flash charging, reaching 10-70% in 5 minutes. This suggests Canada may get fresh BYD models instead of previous-generation leftovers.
EXPANDED:
The Sealion 06 spotted on Canadian roads carries the 2026 model's LiDAR array, which pairs with BYD's God's Eye B driver-assistance suite. Unlike European exports, which use the discontinued Song Plus platform rebadged as Seal U, this test unit appears to be the current-generation vehicle sold in China. The second-generation Blade Battery enables megawatt-level flash charging, cutting charge times to roughly five minutes for the 10-70% range, or twelve minutes in extreme cold.
