Lyte AI lands $165M Series C to expand robot perception capabilities
Lyte AI has raised $165 million in Series C funding, giving it a $1.6 billion post-money valuation. The company develops processors, sensors, and software that enable robots to perceive their surroundings. It will use the funds to scale production of its LyteVision platform and expand into more industries.
Lyte left stealth mode in January with $107 million in aggregate funding, bringing its cumulative total to $272 million. The Series C was led by Maverick Silicon, with participation from Fidelity, Atreides, Key1, and Ora Global.
The LyteVision platform integrates 4D vision, high-resolution imaging, and inertial sensing onto a common clock using proprietary silicon. Proceeds will scale production, advance AI capabilities, and expand deployments in inspection, logistics, and manufacturing, while the company hires across silicon, optics, and operations.
Improved robot perception could enhance safety and efficiency in industrial settings, potentially altering labor demands in logistics and manufacturing. By enabling machines to reliably navigate dynamic environments, Lyte's technology may accelerate automation adoption, affecting workers who interact with robotic systems. Better sensing could also reduce operational errors and downtime, though it may shift the skill sets required for human oversight and maintenance in these sectors.
