German startup launches Spectrum rocket to orbit, marking European milestone

Prior to this, European launches depended heavily on government-backed entities like Arianespace and Avio. The current geopolitical landscape, including the loss of Russian Soyuz access and shifting views on US reliability, has pushed the European Space Agency to prioritize domestic procurement.
This milestone could reshape Europe's space economy by offering commercial and institutional customers a domestic alternative to state-funded launchers.
