Snoop Dogg Film Adds D'Angelo's Offspring to Portray Biggie Smalls
Universal Pictures has expanded the cast of its upcoming Snoop Dogg biopic, with Michael D'Angelo Archer Jr., the son of musicians D'Angelo and Angie Stone, set to play the Notorious B.I.G. The film, directed by Craig Brewer, also features Jonathan Daviss as Snoop Dogg and is scheduled for an August 2027 release. Additional newcomers include G Perico as Big Reecie Cup and Bentley Green as RBX.
The biopic, helmed by Craig Brewer, is slated for an August 2027 debut. Joe Robert Cole penned the initial script, while Sara Ramaker and Snoop Dogg serve as producers. The ensemble also features Myles Bullock as Dr. Dre, Camron Jones as Tupac, and Algee Smith as Warren G.
This project marks Death Row Pictures' first theatrical release under its NBCUniversal agreement. Notably, Universal previously produced *Straight Outta Compton*, in which Lakeith Stanfield portrayed Snoop Dogg, establishing a studio connection to the hip-hop biopic genre.
