inDrive diversifies beyond ride-hailing with ads and delivery services

inDrive, known for negotiated fares, is expanding into advertising, delivery, and financial services. Its ad business has served over 2 billion impressions and attracted 2,000 paying advertisers monthly across 25 markets. The company is leveraging its emerging-market user base to cross-sell services and grow revenue beyond ride-hailing.
inDrive's advertising arm, launched in mid-2025, now operates across 25 nations, delivering over two billion ad views and securing roughly two thousand monthly paying sponsors, with a two-thirds retention rate. The firm's "Ride Media" initiative currently targets passengers based on their historical location visits, with plans to introduce live targeting.
To bolster these ventures, the company has recruited executives from Delivery Hero and Google to lead its food and advertising divisions. Meanwhile, driver lending through inDrive.Money in Latin America saw a 118% annual increase in the first half of 2026, though the firm notes that grocery and food operations will absorb the majority of future capital expenditures.
This expansion could provide emerging-market drivers with easier access to short-term credit and give small local advertisers a new channel to reach previously underserved consumers. However, the growth of targeted advertising may raise data-privacy questions for riders. Furthermore, inDrive's push into food delivery could intensify competitive pressure on local merchants and gig workers, potentially altering their income dynamics.
