True Colours has boarded international sales for Ginevra Elkann's new film 'The Roses of Marrakesh,' starring Fanny Ardant. The company will launch sales at the Toronto International Film Festival. The movie is set in the Agnelli estate in Marrakech.
Elkann's filmmaking journey includes assisting Bernardo Bertolucci and Anthony Minghella, with her debut "Magari" premiering at Locarno in 2019 and her black comedy "I Told You So" launching from Toronto in 2023. Her latest project is set at Aïn Kassimou, the actual Agnelli family estate in Marrakech.
The narrative centers on Fanny Ardant's character, Madame Isabelle, an elderly matron residing in the Palmeraie's luxurious grounds. Rome-based True Colours will present the title to international buyers at the Toronto International Film Festival.
