Actor's NoHo Triplex Transformed into Family Haven with Rooftop Farm and Cold-Plunge Pool
Liev Schreiber and his wife Taylor enlisted AD100 firm Ashe Leandro to reimagine his long-time bachelor pad in Manhattan's NoHo district. The renovation softened the home's hard edges and added a rooftop garden featuring a chicken coop, raspberry bushes, and a cold-plunge pool with skyline views. Taylor, who grew up on a farm, spearheaded the outdoor refuge, and the couple's chickens now produce eggs sold under the label Hazel's Hens, named after their daughter.
The renovation team included AD100 designers Ariel Ashe and Reinaldo Leandro, with Eric Sheffield serving as consulting architect. Schreiber had previously collaborated with the duo on a duplex he shared with his former partner, Naomi Watts. The rooftop garden, designed by Brooklyn Grange, features wisteria, raspberry bushes, and a cold-plunge pool.
Taylor's farm upbringing in South Dakota inspired the outdoor space, which houses five named hens—Grandma, Sizzurp, Fern, Pico, and Miu Miu—alongside the family dog, Scout. The interior blends vintage pieces like a De Sede Snake sofa and a Castiglioni pendant with custom furnishings, softening the home's previous "man-cave" aesthetic.
