Electronic Producer Deadmau5 Joins IAG for Cross-Platform Representation
Deadmau5 has signed with Independent Artist Group for representation across all areas, according to a press release. The agency aims to expand his business into film, television, digital content, gaming, and technology. He was previously represented by CAA and UTA.
The new agreement places the electronic musician's existing ventures under IAG's umbrella, specifically highlighting the revival of his digital series *Coffee Run*, his game development studio Oberhasli Games, and the live-performance tool Auto/Pilot.
His agency history includes a stint with CAA starting in 2024 and UTA from 2020 to 2024. Upcoming live commitments feature a performance at EDC Colombia on October 10th and a two-night stand at Red Rocks Amphitheatre on October 30th and 31st.
This move could signal a broader industry shift where electronic artists leverage their brands beyond music into gaming and software. Fans and tech enthusiasts may see more integrated experiences, such as enhanced live shows or new game releases. Other artists might follow suit, seeking agencies that prioritize intellectual property ownership and cross-media expansion. The impact could reshape how musicians monetize their creative output, potentially offering more stable revenue streams outside traditional touring and streaming.
