Nvidia's CEO sees continued explosive growth, citing AI's foundational role

Nvidia's CEO Jensen Huang reiterated his forecast of 70% revenue growth for the next fiscal year, projecting about $680 billion in sales. He argued that Nvidia's dominance across the AI ecosystem, including its high-end GPU systems, ensures continued demand. Huang dismissed competitive threats, emphasizing that Nvidia is a foundational platform for all major AI labs.
Huang detailed the immense scale of Nvidia's flagship offerings, describing a single integrated GPU system priced at $8.5 million, composed of roughly two million parts and drawing 250,000 kilowatts of power, with thousands of these units shipped. He also highlighted that orders for a specific configuration combining 36 Grace CPUs and 72 Blackwell GPUs are climbing 27% month over month.
He emphasized his company's extensive visibility into global infrastructure, claiming to monitor every gigawatt of land, power, and data center shells through partner reports. Addressing concerns about circular investments, Huang asserted he reviews real revenue contracts before funding, having examined $100 billion worth, and joked that his $1-to-$100 return ratio makes the criticism irrelevant.
Nvidia's projected expansion could significantly influence the broader technology landscape. Continued reliance on its high-cost, power-intensive systems may strain regional energy grids and elevate entry barriers for smaller AI developers. The company's deep integration into major labs suggests its pricing and supply decisions could shape the pace of AI innovation. Conversely, this concentration of foundational infrastructure might expose the industry to systemic risks if demand shifts or alternative architectures mature.
