Beyond the financial incentives, the competition is set to become a biennial staple, strategically placed between World Championships and, during Olympic years, serving as a season finale. Athletes in the 200m will choose their own lanes based on seeding, while tied vertical jumps will be resolved through jump-offs, adding novel competitive twists.
