A judicial inquiry into baby deaths at Countess of Chester Hospital found that dysfunctional management and a complete failure to invoke safeguarding procedures allowed harm to occur. The government has begun reviewing recommendations, including the proposed installation of cameras above neonatal cots, while Letby's supporters continue challenging the evidence behind her 15 life sentences.
