Accor's MGallery Brand to Debut U.S. Flagship at NYC's Ink 48 Hotel

Accor has selected the Ink 48 hotel in New York City's Hell's Kitchen as the first U.S. flagship for its MGallery boutique brand. The property, known for its Hudson River views and rooftop bar, will undergo an extensive renovation before the rebranding in 2028. The move is part of MGallery's broader expansion strategy in North America.
The 222-room property sits in Hell's Kitchen near the Hudson River, with its rooftop bar Hudson Vu offering views of iconic landmarks. The renovation will preserve the hotel's character while upgrading the guest experience. The property is jointly owned by Capstone Equities of New York and Montreal's Leyad, with Revel Hotel Company managing day-to-day operations.
MGallery currently operates more than 125 hotels worldwide, spanning destinations from Vietnam to Morocco. The brand's North American presence includes Hotel Ändra Seattle, plus existing outposts in Canada and Mexico. The New York flagship will participate in Accor's ALL loyalty program, giving members another option to earn and redeem points near major city attractions.
The arrival of MGallery's U.S. flagship in New York could strengthen Accor's competitive position in the boutique hotel segment, where travelers increasingly seek properties with distinct character rather than standardized experiences. The rebranding may draw new visitors to Hell's Kitchen, potentially benefiting nearby businesses and the local tourism economy. Accor loyalty members could gain a compelling new redemption option, while the renovation may affect hotel employment and guest experiences during the transition period.
